What is hot depilatory wax?

Also called liposoluble wax, hot depilatory wax is a mixture of resin, beeswax and paraffine oil. It is traditionally used in Meditteranean region. It does not contain sugar, so hair follicles can't absorbe sugar to grow.

How is it used?

Hot wax is solid in room temperature. It must be heated before use. Some devices called "wax heater" are used to heat it. There are different forms of wax, roll-on wax is applied by the help of its rolling head, the other types are applied by help of a special wooden stick.

Why hot wax?

Application of hot wax decreases the number of hair follicles and weakens hair in long term usage. It also takes the superficial (dead) layers of skin and causes a soft, smooth feeling similar to peeling. It is comparable to only laser epilation which is expensive and ineffective for fair, red and white hair.
